Seminars

THIS JUST IN!!! ....  Look for our latest seminar in the fall of 2004 ... "Bricks and Clicks" ... a seminar addressing the uniques needs of businesses that sell both in a "real" store, and in their own "e-store" ....

Love Consulting has offered a wide range of business seminars since 1995.  We frequently collaborate with banks, accounting firms, law offices, and others to present topics that are of most importance to both new and existing businesses.  In 2003-2004 we focused exclusively on our new "Crafters on the Web" seminar.  This was great fun wherever we went!  We were always amazed at the level of talent we came across, and the various medias with which these artisans worked!

As a former Professor and a Sam Walton Fellow, Bruce has worked extensively with the college organization "Students In Free Enterprise" (SIFE).  Each year, Love Consulting offers numerous seminars to this group at no cost and allows the group to use the event as a fundraising project.  Whether these teams win National competitions or not, we know that they are all winners and that, upon graduation, each graduate will continue to make great contributions wherever they may go!

"Education cannot stop with the granting of a diploma.  It is, rather a lifelong process.  The manager must learn on the job, translate what he learns into practice, and must free himself from automatic adherence to 'the way we have always done it'."

  Other Seminars

"Basic Training - How to Start Your Business"
Basic Training is "boot camp" for those who are interested in starting a business, but don't know where to start.  This seminar addresses many of the concerns and issues relating to business start-up.  We discuss the role of the business owner and describe the characteristics of some successful entrepreneurs.  We also talk about obligations of the business owner and develop a useful schedule to follow while preparing to launch your business.  Many resources are also are distributed during this seminar which gives attendees the information they need.
    "Building Your Business Plan"
The business Plan is a roadmap that you develop to provide you with the greatest chance of success in your business venture.  Business Plans are detailed descriptions of your business, and the industry in which it competes.  They are often used by outside organizations to understand your business better, and are usually required by lending institutions when seeking a loan for your company.  This seminar describes the business plan in great detail, and gives attendees the information they need to develop their own business plan.
    "Financing Your Business"
Even the most successful businesses need additional funds at times.  In fact, the companies that are growing the fastest usually require large amounts of outside capital to keep the growth going.  This seminar explores various sources of capital, and describes the criteria that are used by many lenders and investors to determine if, and how much to, invest.  Bruce Love has worked with numerous banks, economic development agencies, private lenders, and others, to help secure funds for clients.  His expertise in this area can help you get the funding you need!
    "Small Business Marketing"
Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, services, or events, to create exchanges to satisfy organizational objectives.  THAT is the formal definition.  This seminar breaks this definition down to its four primary elements: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion, and gives you creative ways to look at these tools, which are the primary tools of every marketer and small business owner.  More importantly, we show you how to use these tools to improve your bottom line!
